Saturday's away trip to SC Toronto ended 1-0. One goal, nothing in it, but a loss all the same.
On Tuesday the same two sides met again at North York Civic. Before kick-off, Coach Reza Abedian spoke to the squad — a team talk about focus, keeping heads clear, and playing the ball. It landed.
[MM N] open the scoring carrying the ball through the defence before lifting a powerful strike over the goalkeeper's gloves.
The boys were locked in from the first whistle. Arvin added the second goal scoring with a free kick from thirty metres.
Two up and controlling the game rather than chasing it, the U15s held the lead into the final ten minutes. SC Toronto pulled one back around the 80th, but there was no wobble — the boys went looking for a third. A few chances went begging; the performance never dropped.
Final score: 2-1.
The result matters. The response matters more: a young side that lost on Saturday, listened, and played smarter on Tuesday.
